Since our last correspondence we have been busy Bootians. We have been making a few changes around the restaurant - modernizing both the men's and women's room, launching our new late night and dessert menu's and hanging up photos from our adventures out on our friend's farms. The week of Sept. 30 through Oct. 8 is Go Green Week sponsored by our friends, Retail Alliance, and they have brought Ed Begley, Jr, to town to speak out and promote Go Green Week. We will catering The Go Green Picnic on Wednesday afternoon at The Norfolk Botanical Gardens. It is here, at the Garden, where we will present our idea to the Spinal Tap alum about Ed Bagel's Jr - bagel chain. We've been emailing Camp Begley but have't seen any response back, but this Wednesday we meet face to face Bagles! You hear me Begley?! Like I mentioned before we have kicked off two new menu's since the first of autumn. Chef Brendan Vesey has come up with a new Dessert menu, for the sweet tooth foodies out there and a new Late Night menu for the folks who fill the boot after dark. Stop by tonight to experience either of these at the show tonight. That's right the boot is opening up tonight for Mr. Denison Witmer. Yay! Doors at 7 in the PM and music starts at 8. And let me finish this collection of run on sentences and misuse of comas and hyphens to remind you to check out the new Slow Food Hampton Roads website. We encourge you to sign up for the email list and for Slow Foods. |
